Angeregt von Mikrographien aus dem 17. und 18. Jahrhundert, forme ich Pflanzen aus Schrift. Aus der ständigen Wiederholung des Namens der gentechnisch veränderten Pflanzen bildet sich ihre Struktur. Hierbei handelt es sich nicht um den lateinischen Namen der Pflanzen sondern um den Markennamen der durch den US-amerikanischen Konzern Monsanto patentierten Pflanzen. Diese sind resistent gegen das Pflanzenschutzmittel Roundup mit dem Wirkstoff Glyphosat.
Inspired by microwriting of the 17th and 18th century plants are formed with letters. The structure of the plants consists of the repetition of the name of the plant. It is not the latin name of the plant but the trademark name of the genetically modified plants by US-company Monsanto. Those plants are resistant to the herbicide Roundup with the substance glyphosate.
